The online CPO certification begins with a self-guided 8-10 hour online course. That is followed by a CPO review over Zoom with your Certified CPO instructor. You will also complete your CPO certification exam on Zoom with your instructor.
You must pass the exam with at least a 75% or higher score. Should you need to retake your exam for any reason, you can do so for a small extra fee.
After completing the course and passing the exam, you will receive your CPO certificate in the mail from the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA). You will receive both your formal certificate and a wallet card to carry with you. These will both carry your CPO certification registration number. Your certification will last for a five-year period.
